Mid-winter art scene in Ballarat

Space22 has its last show this month, a large group exhibition. Some very interesting art there for art lovers, while Red Brick Gallery features Anne Schultz. I find a couple of interesting paintings of Anne's which I liked, otherwise, I did not get the clean colours that usually I find in oil paintings, probably the paintings were arcylic, I did not take a second look.

The second exhibition at Space22 had a variety of art pieces, but I did not like to comment on, because it was not my cuppa tea, but don't be put off by me, take a look yourself, its a mixed media pieces.

LYN DICKSON – CURIOUS COLLECTIONS

Lars Sternberg: 'Walking the Lanes' @ Space22

This is one show that impressed me. You can see the love of bushwalking. Lars has done it well. Loved it.

 

 

Marcia King-take a leap @ Space22

Helamen says, the jumps and leaping activities of the drawings were breathtaking. They convey the feeling of the art of Le Parkour, and the ideas expounded by Marcia was quite novel to me. I cannot do justice to her, without the lengthy quotes of her ideas of 'taking a leap',  or starting a new, so I refrain here. These few images will hopefully convey the feelings of her drawings and her concepts.

I liked these pair too, very colourful and interesting, pleasing to the eye.
